What we collect
When you visit, we collect standard server logs: your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and how you arrived here. These help us keep the site running and secure. Logs are retained for 30 days.
When you sign in: If you create an account, we store your name and email. If you sign in with GitHub or Google, we receive only your name, email, and profile picture from those providers; we never see your password.
When you contact us: If you contact us via email or a contact form, we use your information only to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your details with third parties.
Cookies: We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.
What we don't collect
We do not run advertising networks, sell your data, or share it with third parties beyond what is needed to operate the site (our hosting provider). We do not use Google Analytics or similar tracking services.
AI crawlers
Like most websites, this site is visited by AI systems (such as those that power ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity). We track these visits in aggregate to understand how AI answer engines discover and use our content. This data contains no personal information.
Your rights
You can request access to or deletion of your account data at any time by emailing michael@janzenworks.com.
Changes
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
